Arctic Sammy's Long Line Training Leash is 10 m long and allows your dog to be seemingly free, yet under control. The perfect tool for recall training, controlled socialisation for your puppy or for long hikes where dogs have to be on a lead. 

Made out of climbing rope material, the leash is soft and gentle on your hands. This is especially important for long lines to avoid rope burn through rapid or fast movements from your dog. The high quality material and thickness of the rope makes it easy to untie unwanted knots. 

Tether your dog with the auto-lock swivel carabiner for full control and safety during training. 

We always recommend using the Long Line with our Adventure Harness and not with a collar. If your dog runs when being at the end of the line, he is less likely to hurt himself being attached to a harness.

Arctic Sammy will not be held liable for any fees or taxes you may incur or if your product is seized by customs. If a delivery attempt has been made and the item was not collected and has been returned to us, you will be required to pay the re-delivery fee and the duty tax for re-import of the purchased items. All New Zealand orders will be shipped with New Zealand Post. You will receive an email confirmation within one business day of your order being dispatched.

Lifetime Warranty

Lifetime Warranty - Really?

Yes - as long as you use the dog gear like you would use any other dog gear! As all of us dog owners know, a dog can chew through anything they put their mind to, so as long as you're not giving the lead, collar, or other products to your dog as a chew toy, we can guarantee it'll last forever. Any product that shows obvious signs they've been chewing on the product we cannot cover as it clearly does not fall within the normal use intention stated above. We offer lead and collar repairs should puppy chew threw the gear - just reach out to us mail@arcticsammy.co.nz and we will take care of it.

We'll still cover all manufacturing faults or material defects for as long as the product, materials or components can be expected to last.

Please note: Toys, LED Dog Light and ID Tags are excluded from our Lifetime Warranty.

Awesome product, worth every cent

I was reluctant to buy the long line because it's pretty expensive compared to a length of rope from Bunnings - but my husband talked me into it and I'm super grateful he did. It's a very high quality product, plenty strong enough o give it a good yank if it gets caught up, the non-slip texture makes it really easy to hang on to and manage, the carabiner clips are excellent. It's going to last a lifetime. I feel very confident using it and very confident my boy is 100% safe at the other end. Also, you can just hose it off after the beach :-) ... and buy the leash handle too.

The long line leash is great for our lab getting comfortable in walking again after being hit by a car…that security and a bit of freedom at the same time is ideal.
We have the hands free…be great if the 10m came with the hands free buckles.

MOST COMMON QUESTIONS

Yes! Our Long Dog Leashes are perfect for puppies who can not yet be fully trusted off leash. A Long Dog Leash gives your dog an "off leash" feeling while you can safely train your recall. Furthermore, it is a great tool to prevent your puppy from meeting dog's you don't trust.

Any Long Dog Leash can cause some sort of a rope burn when used incorrectly. We recommend to stay focused and proactive to avoid your dog running full speed into the end of a line while chasing after a rabbit! It is best practise to slowly give and take rope and avoid it running through your hands - and always use the handle.

Yes it is! However, we believe that it would not be the best choice for toy breeds such as Chihuahuas or fully grown dogs lighter than 3kg.

The leash soaks up very little water and gains around 100g of weight when being wet.
