With our new 3-in-1 Car Tether, you can put your mind to ease knowing your dogs trip is a safe one while still allowing some backseat/ boot freedom. Restrain your dog from jumping to the front seat creating a driving distraction or out the door when you need him to stay put. Open the windows to let in the breeze without the worry of your dog jumping out of your car. 

Simply attach to your harness and click the buckle into the seatbelt, use the headrest tether or clip your dog to a child seat tether point in your boot. The 3 different attachment types give you all possible options for your dog to join you on an enjoyable ride!

Keeping your dog in place, preventing driver distraction and reducing risk of injury this is a necessity for all dog owners. The double braided flat rope has a natural stretch build in, reducing strain from sudden braking. With being adjustable in length, this Car Tether is perfect for all dog breeds.

Important Information

We recommend using this Car Tether only in combination with a harness. A sudden impact caused by an accident can lead to injuries when attached to a collar. This product has limited abilities to save the dog in case of car accidents. It is primarily intended to keep the dog away from the driver, and save him from injuries with sudden stops and changes of direction of the car.

As the recipient, you are liable for all import duties, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country you are shipping to; payment of these maybe necessary to release your order from customs on arrival. Arctic Sammy will not be held liable for any fees or taxes you may incur or if your product is seized by customs. All New Zealand orders will be shipped with New Zealand Post. You will receive an email confirmation within one business day of your order being dispatched.

International orders will also be shipped with DHL Express or NZ Post for orders over $150NZD.

Lifetime Warranty

Lifetime Warranty - Really?

Yes - as long as you use the dog gear like you would use any other dog gear! As all of us dog owners know, a dog can chew through anything they put their mind to, so as long as you're not giving the lead, collar, or other products to your dog as a chew toy, we can guarantee it'll last forever. Any product that shows obvious signs they've been chewing on the product we cannot cover as it clearly does not fall within the normal use intention stated above. We offer lead and collar repairs should puppy chew threw the gear - just reach out to us mail@arcticsammy.co.nz and we will take care of it.

We'll still cover all manufacturing faults or material defects for as long as the product, materials or components can be expected to last.

Please note: Toys, LED Dog Light and ID Tags are excluded from our Lifetime Warranty.

MOST COMMON QUESTIONS

You have 3 options how to tether your dog in your car:

Option 1: Tether onto the headrest. This is especially useful for dogs who move around a lot as it keeps the tether away from your dogs legs and therefore tangle-free.

Option 2: Tether onto the seat belt clip. This is useful to prevent your dog from jumping from the backseats into the boot or onto the front seats.

Option 3: Boot tether. If your dog travels in your boot, then this is your preferred tether option. Simply attach the dog car tether to one of the child seat tether points.

Yes and we highly recommend it. A puppy does not know how to behave in a car (yet) and can get spooked easily by strange noises or movements. It also prevents your pup from sliding off the backseats!

It is a great tool to prevent your dog from jumping out of the car or boot the second you open the doors. You can get your leash sorted, check for traffic and teach your dog to stay put without having to worry about him starting his walk without you.
