Nikwax Tech Wash will revitalise existing Durable Water Repellency (DWR) and revive breathability. It is the safe way to thoroughly clean your waterproof clothing and equipment. Application in a washing machine is quick, easy, and ensures that the whole garment is thoroughly cleaned.
Nikwax Tech Wash® is a safe, soap-based cleaner for technical performance outerwear. Your personal waterproof clothing as well as your dog's raincoat could be soaking up water because the Durable Water Repellency (DWR) has been compromised by dirt, or because it has been cleaned with a conventional laundry detergent. Dirt attracts water and household detergents leave water attracting (hydrophilic) residues, leading to fabric 'wetting out' in wet or damp conditions. If your waterproof clothing or equipment is relatively new, or recently treated with a Nikwax waterproofer, then cleaning with Nikwax Tech Wash® will not only remove contaminants, such as dirt and residues left behind by household detergents, but also revitalise DWR.
- 1 bottle (300ml) lasts for 3-4 washing cycles
- Safely cleans technical synthetic outerwear, without degrading existing DWR
- Enhances the performance of Nikwax waterproofing treatments

Use neat Tech Wash® and a sponge, or soft nylon brush, to treat stubborn stains before washing. Remove all non-washable parts. Shake well before use. Follow care label instructions. Do not use other detergents.
Machine Wash:
- Remove all detergent build-up from the detergent dispenser
- Place maximum of 2 garments in washing machine
- Use 150ml in medium/hard water areas and 100ml in soft water areas for 1-2 items
- Run 30°C synthetic cycle and slow spin (front loader) or 40°C synthetic cycle (top loader)
- Alternatively, just apply Nikwax in a simple hand wash
- Hang to dry

As the recipient, you are liable for all import duties, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country you are shipping to; payment of these maybe necessary to release your order from customs on arrival. Arctic Sammy will not be held liable for any fees or taxes you may incur or if your product is seized by customs. We advise that you are familiar with your package destination’s import duty, customs and local sales taxes, as well as it’s rules and regulations for importing foreign goods and products. If a delivery attempt has been made and the item was not collected and has been returned to us, you will be required to pay the re-delivery fee and the duty tax for re-import of the purchased items. If the duty tax is more then the value of the purchased items, we will abandon the package.

Lifetime Warranty - Really?
Yes - as long as you use the dog gear like you would use any other dog gear! As all of us dog owners know, a dog can chew through anything they put their mind to, so as long as you're not giving the lead, collar, or other products to your dog as a chew toy, we can guarantee it'll last forever. Any product that shows obvious signs they've been chewing on the product we cannot cover as it clearly does not fall within the normal use intention stated above. We offer lead and collar repairs should puppy chew threw the gear - just reach out to us mail@arcticsammy.co.nz and we will take care of it.
We'll still cover all manufacturing faults or material defects for as long as the product, materials or components can be expected to last.
Please note: Toys, LED Dog Light and ID Tags are excluded from our Lifetime Warranty.
