Silicone Dog ID Tags are not chew proof.

Where should I attach the ID Tag?

It is best to attach your new ID tag to the dedicated ID Tag clip on your dog's collar or harness. This is usually a small plastic ring. It is designed to keep the tag further away from the ground and away from the main ring you attach your leash too. It will help avoiding your tag from getting damaged. If your collar or harness does not have a dedicated ID Tag clip, we recommend to be careful when leashing your dog and check the ID tag for damage on a regular basis.

Remove Collars and ID Tags during playtime

When dogs play with each other, they might wrestle or tug at objects, including collars and ID Tags. Sometimes, a dog’s jaw or tooth can get tangled in their playmate’s collar or tag which leads to damaged gear.

Their first instinct is often to twist and try to break free, and that can result in a broken ID Tag. We recommend to avoid these issues by removing collars and tags before playtime.

Remove Collars and ID Tags at home and in crates

At home, collars and ID Tags can get stuck on household items, such as fences or upholstery. When a dog is in a crate or kennel, their collar or ID tags can get hooked on the crate. If unable to unhook themselves, it could lead to injury or death. Fortunately, our Id tags are designed to break at a certain point of force which prevents your dog from further injuries. However, this also means that your tag won't be able to be used again. We recommend to remove collars and ID Tags before crating your dog or if leaving them unattended.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that you will receive your package within the time frame expected. Estimated delivery times are to be used as a guide only and commence from the date of dispatch (make sure you watch out for that dispatch email). As the recipient, you are liable for all import duties, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country you are shipping to; payment of these maybe necessary to release your order from customs on arrival. Arctic Sammy will not be held liable for any fees or taxes you may incur or if your product is seized by customs. We advise that you are familiar with your package destination’s import duty, customs and local sales taxes, as well as it’s rules and regulations for importing foreign goods and products. If a delivery attempt has been made and the item was not collected and has been returned to us, you will be required to pay the re-delivery fee and the duty tax for re-import of the purchased items. If the duty tax is more then the value of the purchased items, we will abandon the package.

All New Zealand orders will be shipped with New Zealand Post. You will receive an email confirmation within one business day of your order being dispatched.

International orders will also be shipped with DHL Express or NZ Post for orders over $150NZD.

Lifetime Warranty

Lifetime Warranty - Really?

Yes - as long as you use the dog gear like you would use any other dog gear! As all of us dog owners know, a dog can chew through anything they put their mind to, so as long as you're not giving the lead, collar, or other products to your dog as a chew toy, we can guarantee it'll last forever. Any product that shows obvious signs they've been chewing on the product we cannot cover as it clearly does not fall within the normal use intention stated above. We offer lead and collar repairs should puppy chew threw the gear - just reach out to us mail@arcticsammy.co.nz and we will take care of it.

We'll still cover all manufacturing faults or material defects for as long as the product, materials or components can be expected to last.

Please note: Toys, LED Dog Light and ID Tags are excluded from our Lifetime Warranty.

If your dog goes missing, you can update your information as needed. Share the last known location and specify if you are offering a reward for their safe return.

The new tag looks great with Nera's Waihi collar. And less jingling with the council tag. The new shape should have them lasting longer too.

Quick clip

Perfect size as it’s not too big, and great to be able to attach ID tags to different collars really easily. Only draw back is that the hole on the circular council dog tag is not big enough to fit straight onto the clip so I’ll get the strap version next year and that will fit perfectly.

Is the QR code tag better than a traditional tag?

Yes, definitely! A QR code pet tag is superior to a traditional dog name tag for two key reasons. First, the Pet ID display page holds far more information than a standard tag. Second, you can update the details on the Pet ID display page in real time without needing to replace your pet’s tag.

How does the QR Code work?

A QR code pet tag is a modern digital ID tag for pets. Instead of displaying printed information, it features a QR code that links to the pet owner’s contact details. When scanned, the code instantly provides the owner’s contact information, making it easy for finders to reach out and share the pet’s location.

Can I change my pet profile page?

Yes! The QR code is dynamic, allowing you to update and modify your profile page anytime, however you like.

Can I be notified when the QR code is scanned?

Yes! To enable this feature, go to your dashboard on qrcodechimp.com, find your QR code, and select Edit. In the edit section, navigate to Section 2: Design/Setting, then scroll down to Page Settings. Open this section, enable “Email me on scan,” and enter the email address where you’d like to receive notifications.

Please note that only an approximate location will be provided. To receive the pet’s exact current location, the finder can share it with you via their phone’s maps app or send it via text.

Which information can I enter on my pet ID Profile page?

Almost anything you like! A Pet ID profile page can include your pet’s name, vaccination status, medical history, and more. You can also add the owner’s name, address, contact details, and photos.

How do I set up my dog's profile page?

When you order your dog’s new tag, you’ll receive an email with your login details for qrcodechimp.com, the platform that hosts our pet profiles. Simply log in and start creating your dog’s profile page. We recommend setting up the profile on a desktop browser rather than a phone, as the wider layout makes navigation easier.

Can I make the profile page private and only change it once my dog gets lost?

Yes! You can temporarily pause the QR code, preventing any information from being displayed when scanned. To do this, go to your dashboard, find the QR code you want to pause, click the “More” icon, and select “Pause.”

What material is the tag made out of?

100% Silicon with a stainless steel split ring

Is it suitable for the beach?

Yes! Salt water or sand is not a problem and won't harm your new ID Tag.
